India’s real estate sector is increasingly positioning itself as a global investment hotspot, and the latest rankings highlight how deal-making activity is scaling up alongside investor confidence.

JLL has secured the top position in India for real estate investment advisory in 2025, according to data from MSCI Real Capital Analytics. The ranking, based on transaction volumes, places the firm at the centre of some of the country’s largest property deals.

What stands out is the scale of activity. JLL advised on transactions worth $4.3 billion, capturing nearly 48% market share in India’s investment advisory space—an indication of how concentrated and competitive the deal environment has become.

But beyond the ranking itself, the data reflects a broader trend: India’s resilience in attracting institutional capital, even amid global economic uncertainties. Both domestic and international investors are actively pursuing high-quality assets and large development platforms, signalling long-term confidence in the market.

Another key shift is in how investments are being structured. Investors are no longer relying solely on traditional equity routes but are increasingly using hybrid models—combining equity, structured debt, and joint ventures—to maximise returns across different asset classes.

The nature of deals is also evolving. From large office transactions and warehousing portfolios to cross-border joint ventures, the market is seeing more complex and high-value transactions that require sophisticated advisory capabilities.

Ultimately, the ranking is less about one firm’s dominance and more about what it represents: India’s transformation into a mature, institutional-grade real estate market.

As global capital continues to look for stable, high-growth destinations, India’s property sector is increasingly emerging as a preferred choice—driven by scale, demand, and a growing ecosystem of large, structured deals.
